This chapter is absolutely extraordinary and close to my heart as it is the inspiration behind the creation of this blog.

Is it necessary to accomplish all your goals by a specific age?

In today's fast-paced world, societal expectations often dictate the timeline by which we should achieve certain milestones in life. From graduating college to getting a job, buying a house, and starting a family, there is a perceived notion that these accomplishments should be met at specific ages. The expectation to adhere to set timelines can generate unnecessary stress and anxiety for individuals who might struggle to meet these deadlines.

So here's your friendly reminder...

Age isn’t a deadline for success. Society often emphasizes youth as the "prime" time for accomplishment, but history and contemporary examples show that success can come at any age. Consider figures like Colonel Sanders, who founded KFC in his 60s, or Grandma Moses, who began her painting career in her late 70s. These individuals remind us that passion, dedication, and resilience are not confined to the early years of life.

Everyone's journey is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to success and fulfillment. It is essential to recognize that progress and success are not bound by age but by personal growth, determination, and resilience with each stage presenting unique opportunities. Embracing the idea that success is a personal journey can lead to a more fulfilling and authentic life experience. It allows us to redefine our goals and pursue our passions without the constraints of age-related stereotypes. Whether it's starting a new career, learning a new skill, or embarking on a creative project, it's never too late to follow your dreams.

As I was hitting the big 3 0, I experienced anxiety and depression, questioning whether I am meeting all the expectations for my age in my profession and feeling like I am falling behind. This became a daily challenge on me as I continue to doubt myself. However, I reminded myself to be patient and embrace the journey of growth and learning that lies ahead. I have come to realize that achieving significant milestones is not a prerequisite for proudly declaring, "I DID IT! " Little achievements are the stepping stones to the big ones as long as I stay persistent.

I have experienced my share of unexpected turns in life. When I first intended to be married at age 25 and start a family at age 26, I was unmarried and gave birth to my first child at age 20. Struggling to figure out my new identity as a mom and housewife at that time, I tried my best to make choices that would benefit my growing family. But then, more unexpected challenges popped up and I became a single mom at 25. Fast forward to today, I am truly grateful for the valuable life lessons and opportunities that have come my way. They have positively transformed my mindset and goals for the better.

So if anyone were to ask... I am 30 and Okay.

Thank you for reading this chapter. I hope you enjoyed the read and you or someone you know can relate. Please leave any respectful feedback. Have a blessed day!
