------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The previous chapter focused on what a failure statement is and why it isn't so crazy to write one after all. Now, let's talk about a goal statement. Ditch the talks and write it down with an action plan. Envision yourself in the future where you have successfully accomplished your goals. What would life be like? How are you spending your time? What goals have been achieved?
So, what is a goal statement?
A goal statement serves as a powerful tool in both personal and professional realms. It offers clarity and direction, which allows you to reprogram your subconscious mind. This clarity helps in avoiding distractions and keeps you aligned with your primary targets, ensuring that every action taken is purposeful and contributes toward achieving the set goals.
Another key benefit of a goal statement is motivation. Clearly defined goals serve as a source of inspiration and drive. When you know exactly what you are working toward, it fosters a sense of purpose and urgency. This motivation can be particularly powerful during challenging times, as it reminds you of the end goal and encourages perseverance.
Lastly, goal statements are invaluable for measuring progress and accountability. By setting specific, measurable objectives, it becomes easier to track advancements and identify areas that may require additional effort or adjustment. This ongoing evaluation process helps in maintaining momentum and making informed decisions. Furthermore, a goal statement establishes accountability as it sets clear expectations and benchmarks for success.
Below is my personal goal statement.
2024 Goal Statement
I am motivated, persistent, and self-driven.
I take action each and every day to achieve a happier, healthier and financially stable life for myself and others.
It is December 31st 2024. I am happy to say I have achieved the goals I have set for this year. I set out to enroll in an aesthetician program, continue to be business oriented and leading a healthier lifestyle.
It is December 31st, 2025 and I have quit my 9-5 job. It was a moment of mixed emotions, but you know what? I am thrilled to be able to stay at home with my two little ninjas and dedicate more time and energy to expanding my business. That's just the beginning - I am eagerly anticipating the launch of my very own suite in 2026!
It is December 31st, 2026 and I have hit Master coordinator.
My team is absolutely incredible, and I am beyond grateful for their unwavering determination that played a crucial role in reaching this monumental milestone!
One Team, One Dream, baby!
Finally, I am incredibly thankful for my amazing boys, wonderful family, and supportive friends who have always believed in me!
This is my truth, and my success is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Tip: Not a reader? No worries. Record yourself reading your Goal Statement and listen to it first thing in the morning while getting ready for your day and before bed.
Your goal statement is like clay - moldable and can be reshaped as many times as you desire! This allows you to measure, monitor, adjust and control. This flexibility empowers you to effectively measure, monitor, adjust, and take control. Whether you keep them on your phone, a Word document, or in a notebook, ensure to review them twice daily and speak them into existence. Remember, it's not all about the talks. When you firmly believe in a specific outcome and actively pursue it, you have the power to turn it into reality.
